Well, if the previous post hasn’t tipped you off, you need to sharpen up a bit really. The simple answer is because I want to restore liberal values! (Americans please beware, that term has a very different meaning here in the UK in my experience!) It almost pains me to say it, but I must because it’s true, liberal values now live on the centre-right. The values didn’t move, and they didn’t change. Their traditional home just got up in the night, ran about 100 miles to the left, and pitched itself there instead. No warning, no forwarding address, just a truck load of ideological refugees (like me) left out in the cold wondering who would put a roof over their head.
